01) MY BACKGROUND

   

My name is Achini Mahesha.  I would like to share some details about myself with you.  I grew up in the beautiful village of Egodapitiya in Bingiriya area.  I am 23 years old.  I am the eldest child in our family.   My father's name is Nihal Shanta.  He is an Assistant Regional Manager by profession, State Timber Corporation.   My mother is Shyamali Sadakanti.  She is a housewife.   They are always with me.  I have a younger brother of school age.  We all live together lovingly.   My educational journey started from a beautiful school in my village.   My school is  Kuli/ Manelembuwa Maha Vidyalaya.  It is a small school with about 500 students.  I studied there from one year to high school.  My parents' only desire was to see me get admission in university.   It was my only passion.  They therefore supported me relentlessly to pursue my dreams. 

 Finally, as a result, I was selected for the Department of Communication and Business Studies at the Eastern University of Sri Lanka, Trincomalee Campus.   Right now I am doing my higher education there. Somehow I made my dream come true.    My future hope is to become a news anchor one day.                                             

 I love the subject of music.  I am able to play the violin and I passed my violin master exam along with my schooling.   And I am a person who likes to spend time with books.  Apart from this I like to travel around the world and share my experiences with others .
